About CompareMeds
Independent, evidence-based comparison for UK patients navigating private GLP-1 and TRT clinics.
Our mission
The UK market for private weight loss and hormone therapy clinics has grown rapidly — and so has the confusion patients face when trying to compare providers. Pricing is opaque, clinical standards vary enormously, and many comparison sites are paid to promote specific clinics.
CompareMeds exists to fix that. We independently score every CQC-registered provider on the same five criteria — price, clinical support, patient trust, education quality, and shipping — using a transparent, public methodology. No provider can pay to improve their score.
Editorial independence commitment
- No provider can pay for a better ranking or score
- All affiliate relationships are disclosed on our Disclosure page
- Our scoring methodology is fully public and versioned
- Every score links to the underlying source data
- Providers with lapsed CQC registration are removed immediately
How we work
CQC gate
Only providers with active CQC registration are included. We check registration status weekly and remove any that lapse.
Weekly price checks
Pricing data is verified weekly. We normalise all prices to cost-per-mg of active ingredient so comparisons are fair across formulations.
Verified trust scores
Trustpilot scores are pulled directly from the platform. Providers with scores below 3.0 receive an automatic warning badge.
Clinical review
Clinical support scores assess prescribing qualifications, blood test requirements, monitoring frequency, and GP oversight.
What we cover
GLP-1 weight loss clinics
UK providers prescribing semaglutide (Wegovy), tirzepatide (Mounjaro), and liraglutide (Saxenda) for weight management.
TRT clinics
UK private clinics prescribing testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) via injection, gel, or oral formulations.
Common questions
Is CompareMeds affiliated with any clinics?
No. CompareMeds is editorially independent. We do not accept payment from any provider to influence our scores or rankings. Our methodology is public and our scoring criteria are applied identically to all providers. Some links on this site may be affiliate links — see our Disclosure page for full details.
How do you ensure the comparison data is accurate?
We verify provider scores at least weekly. Our data team manually checks pricing, CQC registration status, and Trustpilot scores. Every data point links to its source so you can verify it yourself. We flag any provider whose CQC registration lapses immediately.
How can I report inaccurate information?
If you believe any information on this site is inaccurate, please contact us at accuracy@ukmedcheck.co.uk. Providers can also submit corrections through the same address. We aim to review all accuracy reports within 48 hours.
